What do you find intriguing about couples who last versus don't last and break up?

I'd like to think if I married, the marriage would last for ever. But if either party is unhappy it's better to have a divorce.

Going of my experience it seems very rare for a marriage to last any length of time these days.

It’s all about a real connection, communication, trust, respect and a great ongoing sex life.

I think what it comes down to is having a genuine connection, a partnership, a foundation that’s not just sexually based, that’s not one sided, toxic, superficial, narcissistic, and a whole list of other things.

So that when problems do arise they’re by far better at being able to work through these issues. I see couples that don’t last more often then not are couples who aren’t compatible but forcing themselves to stay together while trying to change the other person.

Relationship's where one person (be it the man or the woman) is sitting there trying to change someone… Who just does not want to change but instead feed off your sympathy for them. Feed off your good heart.

Relationships that are obviously for money, resources, social status, and a multitude of other things like that. Those relationships aren’t built on any sort of genuine connection so in the end there is probably going to be cheating and a lot of fighting as well as entitlement issues. One sided as we’ll probably.

Relationship's that are just sexual with nothing else going for it.

Relationship’s where basically someone got knocked up or knocked someone up then immediately married each other…. Uh oh.

Here's some fun facts for you. According to the Census bureau the avg. Marriage in the United States lasts 20 years. The FIRST marriage lasts about 8 years. So that tells you right from the get go that most people do not marry and stay mmarried. maybe people find a better match down the line. But at some point they're throwing in the towel.

I have 4 sisters. They're all married. They all got married. And most importantly they've all STAYED married. I remember the word of advice my mother gave to all of them. "Don't go into this with the attitude that if it doesn't work out we can get divorced ed". Not saying that bad marriages don't happen or that people shouldn't get divorced ed if they are absolutely making eachother miserable. But the point is it should be a nuclear option. It should be unthinkable. Because you married for better or worse till death do you part. And if you don't believe that going in. If you have ANY doubts then you shouldn't get married.

One thing I've noted with All my sister's is they support thier men. They don't tear them down. Sometimes they push them. But they do it without emasculating them.
