Now that Valentines day has passed do you think that we women are truly more romantic than men?

My question has to do with the fact that Valentines day seems to be more important to myself and friends than other guys. Are there exceptions to this, or guys just give us gifts to patronize us? I mean does romance mean anything at all to guys or do you just go though the motions. In other words, is the stereotype true?

All I can say is that when I'm in a relationship on Valentine's Day. And and that is the day that I get to.
You say thank you for putting up and dealing with me.
Because there are times where I work.
A little bit later than I should. I might cancel if she had plans depending on the job I you doing.
And for me it's just a way to say I appreciate you. I love you and I thank you and I want to make that day a good day for her. To show her how much I care. I kinda appreciate her

I think firstly that the entire Valentines thing is just commercial bullshit frankly , it has nothing to do with true romance , but it's a trillion $$ world wide nonsense , so it's not going anywhere , so I would not gauge true romance on that day.

If you had to nominate a day , it would be far better to nominate your own day , and celebrate that , just commercial , not real.
So going back to the question , I think a high percentage of men do fit the stereotype, but certainly not all , I'd say gauge that on what they may ( or may not ) do in other days.

We can't really speak for ALL women or men, of course. Some guys are SUPER ROMANTIC and VDay was a chance for them to express that side of themselves without seeming effeminate. It's difficult for some guys to find an appropriate excuse to express their feelings. VDay and other holidays allow them to do so. Girls tend to WANT romantic gestures, but aren't always willing to initiate the romantic gestures... they expect their guys to know what to do...

I thought men were more romantic but they really just put in the effort because they feel forced rather then it's something they want to do to make their girl feel special and loved. I'm sure there's a few romantic men. The majority of them just aren't tho

I would say no, definitely not ! But a female chased me today, and it's not even St. Valentines Day !

It was on 4 legs so I don't think that counts as being romantic !

From my observations, I believe women are more romantic in general. They seem to be better at special touches to make things romantic.
