Dude seems unhinged?

I’ve been talking to this guy for a few days. There are a few things that I wanna make sure I’m not crazy over. He sent that in the past he has been jealous and controlling, but now he claims to have changed. Last night he made an aggressive comment, not towards me, but it was something violent about men who are “twigs”. to my recollection, it was along the lines of “ i like playing against guys whose necks i could break”Today I was texting a friend while on the phone with this man and he asked me who it was and then said “if you don’t mind me asking, what are you texting about?” I cut the conversation short and pretended I was falling asleep. We’re supposed to go on a date Friday, but I don’t know how comfortable I feel at this point. Any suggestions on what to do going forward?

He said he’s changed and shown the exact opposite, that’s why you judge someone by their actions and their character, not their words. With it only being a few days in, I don’t understand the internal struggle. You don’t know this guy, he’s not someone you’ve loved and had a history with, it shouldn’t even be a discussion to cut ties with someone this early in when you see the red flags. It’s never that serious to be in a relationship so please don’t settle for a situation that could potentially be dangerous and it’s totally avoidable.

I would not normally suggest doing so, but in this case, it is acceptable. You need to ghost him and not show up for the date on Friday. From what you have described he is a violent individual who will do anything to get his way. Stay far away from him.
