We are long distance and we just started dating. He expressed a lot of interest to get to know me and we made travel plans but he’s talking to me like this now and taking hours to respond.

When you say you started dating but you're long distance, do you mean you seriously met? Or are you calling it "dating" that you have back and forth texting/messaging?

So - forgive me - but the exchange you posted honestly is that cringey kind of super sweet small potatoes type conversation, sorry to say. From both of you, not just one side. The initial words you guys had about it in the beginning was fine, but no need to make it an all day topic of conversation. Maybe he felt the same way is why he took forever to say anything back. And it's not wrong that you didn't respond, but you just need to move on to something else to talk about.

Honestly, you will only find out by being straight forward, you have to communicate how you feel, you will not find the answer by asking us, because this seems like a very normal TEXT to me.. sometimes even I text my husband back after 4 hours lol we both work we're busy.. so it's not a matter of taking hours to respond is a matter of establishing that stability, that will not make you think BAD if one or the other takes a lot to respond.

It’s just for hours, maybe he was busy. But if you don’t like it, you should just ask him and talk about it
