When I was younger , I use to love going out as much as possible , I was always on the go , but as I got older going out isn’t really that exciting for me anymore like it use to be. I still go out , just not as much as I use to. I am pretty much back and fourth , just comes down to what mood I am in and what is going on. If I am not that excited about it , I will just stay home lol

I’m often the same. I’m not a fan of gatherings unless it’s family.
I’d say I have 1 close friend, I don’t have any friends other than her and she now lives in a different country. I’m not a fan of people nor do I have the time to waste it on making new friends.
I do like getting out though but not to busy places. I like to be in nature.
I was with two friends going to one of their friends places to look at their car and there happened to be like 8+ other people, I turned around and went to sit in the car 🙂 hard pass from me lol

I guess being in a relationship with someone that is anti social could have it’s benefits , you don’t really have to worry about them disappearing on you or them getting into some sort of accident cuz you know they are safe at home. I am just shocked a girl your age is anti social , when I was your age I was always out and about and doing things and mingling with people , it’s not until I got older I started to not care about going out as much and meeting new people. I prefer home more than going out these days , even though I still like going out , just not as much as I use to. So maybe things will be different for you once you get older? Maybe you will be more social when you get older lol

Haha yeah I did! I’m not a people person and didn’t feel like being around that many.
But yes, people who like to be alone, you won’t have to worry much about them honestly. The being safe at home and not having to worry about them out definitely is a true one lol.
I used to be extremely bubbly and would talk to anyone! My mom used to get embarrassed lol. Then I went through insane trauma from a lot of different things and I’ve found I just am better alone and with my brother. Maybe it’s just my area since it’s small and fucked up culture, but everyone here backstabs each other- even people who claim to be friends and I’ve seen it and loved it far too much and wasted so much time and energy. I’d rather put that energy into myself and family. There’s a very small amount of people I actually get along with anyway haha.
I made a friend in a whim randomly a couple weeks ago ago in the most random, pure luck/coincidence whatever and we’re like the exact same person. We have zero contact but only when we’ve bumped into each other at like 11pm will we catch up for a few hours and it’s great. Then we part ways and let “nature” allow us to cross again to catch up. Bizarre but I like it.

It's tricky, because it depends how social your partner is. If both are anti Social then yeah it could work out perfectly.
Personally, I would not be able to be with someone that does not enjoy the company of others or doesn't want to go to a gathering, birthday, baby shower , wedding and so on... life is too short to just stay at home and do what?
But that is just me, I am an ambivert, I don't love socializing but I like to keep in touch with my small circle of friends and so does my partner , so we're on the same page of having limits but also not locking ourselves in the house all the time...

@Finchie40 I don't think so finchie. I have a sort of "split" sometimes in my persona and brain that - there's ideal world me versus reality me. Reality me is a lot more nervous, nerdy shy - compared to ideal world me. Ideal world me would be still me, yet much more outgoing, expressive. Here in this world, I find it easier to use Bateman lol "to hide from my emotions" lol 😆 and it's not from bad vibes it's because "there's so many eyes out there" danger danger lol or even "ego ego ego"

Girls just want to have fun... that could mean them just wanting to only socialize with you at say a music festival where there is xxxxxxxx people or behind closed doors.

Do you mean antisocial, or someone with antisocial personality disorder? It turns out that one of my closest friends has this disorder. A mild case means you have a conscience and can feel love and other emotions for a select few friends, relatives, pets and partners, much like anyone else would, but you feel slightly less empathy for most other people and less interest in being around, understanding, sympathising with and talking to or helping. You for the most part are streetwise and you’re not a big fan of most people. But you’re not a bad, aggressive or dangerous person. I’m going anonymous to protect her secret.

What you’re describing is asocial or socially awkward or an introvert.


Anti-social is closer to psychopathy/lack of empathy and behaviours that are damaging to others without remorse.


It would not be possible to have a healthy relationship with someone with untreated antisocial personality disorder/strong antisocial traits, but it’s perfectly normal to have a partner who is more introverted. It’s more a question of if the relationship/dynamic works for your two diverging needs/desires for the relationship.

No, I don't think so.
I love being at home, doing my thing, and I'm not good with big crowds.
But I do really like being with my friends, and I want to go to gatherings, and other stuff with someone I'm dating.
We wouldn't be compatible if I were to date an anti social person.

I think if you found a good group of likeminded people who know how to have your kind of fun, outings wouldn't be so bad.

Being at home and knowing how to enjoy yourself again home Is a good skill to have and provided intimacy in a relationship.
As long as it's not "I'm going to game and not include you in on my daily/evening acitvities" type of anti social. And being okay with one partner going out and the other one staying in if thats what works for both. No shame in that
