My best friend is a better dude then my sister's boyfriend. She'd be trading up, if he was interested. I'd actually warn him not to settle for her. I love my sister and in someways she's very smart but in others she's so batshit crazy it makes my head spin. Honestly my best friend would probably be a good influence on her. Being honest hypothetically I'd probably encourage it if he was sure though.

I mean she's, my sister. I'd rather know she's going out with a guy I know is a good dude and I trust then have no idea what D bag is hitting on her at any given time. I've seen so many emotionally abusive relationships these days and at least I'd know my sister isn't being abused or used this way. Me and her may squabble a lot and have some very different views but she's still kin so I want her to be safe and happy.

Also, she was a good sister. (Mostly) probably a better sister than I was a brother though but we both know if something bad happens the other will do their best to help out. We talk on holidays etc. you know how it is. When your family, even when they drive you nuts you still want them to be safe and happy.

It depends on the friend and the intentions behind dating. My siblings are either way too young or taken but in a hypothetical situation I would be fine with it if I trust my friend enough then that’s one thing.

Is it risky? Absolutely it is but at the end of the day you just never know who may be right for someone. If someone’s just wanting to date casually speaking that may be another story. That will bring nothing but drama not only into my friends circle but also into my family.

You just can’t stop people from dating and if they are dating with the intentions of building a future that’s totally different then just dating to be dating if you know what I’m hitting at.

When we were in our late teens and early 20s, my friends had crushes on both of my older brothers.

When my permission was asked if they can date my brothers, I gave it to them but I warned them that my brothers are jerks and that they'll be sorry they asked.

Indeed, they were sorry after just a few dates.

The only weird thing is that my brother and me are very similar.
So if she’s attracted to him chances are she was also attracted to me at one point before settling on friendship which would make the whole thing a little weird


If I had a sister and my best friend (guy) wanted to date her I would be all for it so long as certain boundaries are maintained

I wanted it to happen but my best friend is too dominate and my sister too wild. My best friend is a tru brother and he never ever gave a single hint that he was attracted to my sister even though she is very pretty and mostly his type.
