For those in a relationship. Did you end up with your "type"?

I'm looking at my partner of 10+ years now and god damn do I love him and he still makes my knee go weak from time to time, but a question on here made me think about how much he is NOT my usual type. Not look wise nor personality.

Don't get me wrong, been with PLENTY who didn't fit my type growing up but then I grew up, started to have standards - developed a type, a preference and then I end up with something that is nothing like that. 😂

(And I apologise for my English and lack of vocabulary, I know it's off putting for a lot of English speakers but I actually put in an effort here)

He was kindaaaa my type physically and kindaaaa my type emotionally 😂. How he wore his hair and his skin tone was definitely my type- except he doesn’t like to tan or even get enough sun so his color lightens and then I’m just 😵‍💫😂 but I still love him very much. Also he’s very sweet to me. The sweetest I’ve ever seen in a guy cause the rest I ever encountered were NOT sweet enough. Just not for my taste. He’s careful with me which I really appreciate. Except sometimes he doesn’t always sympathize or reassure me on matters that stress me, which stresses me out more cause I’d like that quality in my partner, but as long as I mention it to him he usually makes an effort and takes care of me. I really scored with him in my book. Lucky to have him and if he ever passed prematurely I’d be so devastated. I’d probably die of a broken heart. I could never see myself with anyone else. He’s like 95% my type. Just missing a few tick marks but pretty much that’s my husband material 😂. He was not what I expected either in terms of his hobbies. Us watching movies has been a mission each time lol

I've unintentionally always found myself with the musical type and my current partner is no different. Tall, white, a little nerdy, artistic and musical have been my last three.

I don't have a type. But my wife was a foot and a half shorter than me. So we were definitely not a match. And she had short hair. Like shorter than mine.😆 I hate short hair on women. But she had the biggest heart of any woman I ever met and she was after me.😆 I didn't need to consider us a match. She KNEW we were a match even though i didn't see it. And she was right!

Currently single but I didn't have a particular type physically, other than broad shoulders and handsome face, good hair, and personality wise, intelligent. My ex wasn't exactly smart, but not stupid either, and looking back I don't think he was handsome, but I did at the time.
