Should I be angry with him?

So he is in a different time zone, it’s now his dinner time, and he hasn’t sent me a single message. I’m a little annoyed as I normally have at least a “good morning” to wake up to. It’s the weekend and it feels like he has gone all day without even thinking about me. Am I overreacting or would you be annoyed or worried too?

Ok so he’s your boyfriend? If I’m being honest I think you’re overreacting, maybe causing drama. I don’t get women who expect men to sit around all day waiting on her text so he can text back immediately. This is another reason that just proves women need attention, like little kids. Yes some men do that too, but it’s always about the women needing validation, which is attention. Maybe you should text him. Just drop a short line. Just checking on you, I hope everything is ok, w us being so far apart it’s hard for me to know if something happened to you. I don’t know say something similar to that. Not a scolding that’s for sure. Otherwise you come off as needy.

No you send HIM a message and show him you're invested in this relationship. That way he knows it's not just his responsibility to carry out communication.

I do communicate and incredibly well, I invest a lot of time and effort that isn’t all able to be stated in this question, that’s why I’m annoyed that my efforts aren’t being reciprocated with a simple “hello”

Yeah, it happened a bit at the start so I would say something, he even said something to me once as I fell asleep without a goodbye. I feel I’m getting mixed messages a lot now though.

It sounds like inconsistent behaviour which I wouldn't take too much heed of. Maybe send one yourself to him to gauge his response as then it's neither a HE sent SHE sent arrangement as long as someone sends then there is no break down in morning/evening greetings

Say that in the message in a joking way
"Good morning hun, hope you slept well, I'm off to get a morning coffee at ####. Have a good one", owtte.
It doesn't have to be anything too over the top just light and breezy showing feminine energy.

Tried this, added an “ I hope you’re okay” got “morning” and “yeah I’m okay” so I give up lol

Don't read too much into it. It's weekend and probably nothing to be too pissed about. he at least knows you're thinking about him

It’s not a case of “I won’t text him if he doesn’t text me” etc, I have no problem double texting. The issue I’m having is that he has gone all day and not thought of me or even wanted to talk to me. It was like I was talking to a wall.
