This is not usually the case, but I've heard it happens. I'm not talking about "when are you going to propose to me?" but about a full on role reversal where she kneels down and asks "will you marry me?".
I find it clear that, if you as a man did not propose to her by that point, you may not feel ready for that commitment yet. But, if she would ask you like that, in the heat of the moment, would you give in and say yes, would you say no, or would you try to pass the situation as a joke like "haha, funny, but that's my line"?

That would be such a shock, but I wouldn't treat it any differently than a guy doing it. Hell, most serious relationships I've been in the woman was very forward, confident, and asked me out first.

I don't know the rules on de facto relationships if they wear rings or not π
