So there’s this girl i find attractive at my college. I used to have a class with her and I’ve seen her around campus a couple times and I’ve considered talking to her but i haven’t seen her these past couple days. I saw her today but unfortunately i had to leave and didn’t have time. Im officially on spring break and i probably won’t see her again until next week. I really regret not having enough time to talk to her and here to next week will feel like staring at a slow clock. A very long time ago i tried following her on instagram because we have a mutual friend, but she declined my follow request likely because of my account was private and i didn’t have myself as my pfp. So Maybe she didn’t recognize it was me. i’ve been thinking what if i try to follow her again but this time with me as my pfp and my account on public? Maybe she’ll recognize me this time? Or should i just wait to see her in person again?

Is she a friend? someone you occasionally chat with? Or the hot girl in class who you don't talk to really?

Any reason to think that she would have a problem with you? because otherwise, I would guess you're exactly right about why she didn't recognize you. Otherwise, I would think there would have been some awkwardness when she saw you. Therefore I'm thinking... she wouldn't snub you like that knowing she would see you... right?

I think you should go for it. I originally saw your question and was like..."ahh shit... the answer to this is going to be "yes that's intrusive."

Well if someone has a social media account most of the time they are wanting people to follow them so it’s not creepy to follow or look at someone’s page if they’re posting it for the world to see then they’re wanting people to see it.

If you know her even a little bit then sure follow her if you don’t know her follow her… Worst she can do is remove the follow.

I will say talking to someone in person and expressing interest is the best way to go about things. But in the meantime you can follow her and try talking to her next time you see her.
