Secondly, it was a commentary on the fact that, in a patriarchal society, men are afforded an innate sense of power that becomes obvious in abusive situations, but this same power is not afforded to women and as such when women abuse their power, it’s not as obvious, marked, or shamed as when men do the same thing on a societal level.
