Yes. If it wasn't a bad idea you'd have used different words. "A guy" and "Baby momma". That misses all the elements i'd expect from a good family. Like you said it very cold, how long have you been in a committed relationship for? Has he been providing? Is there a lot of love between you? Kids require a lot of love/stability from and between both parents and its entirely absent in your wording.

A kid is not just a toy, they're innocent creatures, why ruin their lives if all you gonna have is a baby daddy that will most probably not be present in their kids lives...
