The way a person treats his/her peers, children, animals and whether he/she is friendly to the stranger would be a sign to watch out.

If a person mistreats animals such as shouting, hitting or in any other way that is undignified for the animal, then this person would definitely be out. That means that this person lacks respect for other life forms and that is a big red flag. Of course, trying to hit a mosquito that just bit you would be an exception but I would certainly not tolerate someone hitting a dog because it behaves badly. If it does behave badly, then it is because it was badly educated and that is yet another negative point for that date.

I think most people would pick up on bad manners, but that is a red flag and indication of what the person is like if I detect it.

I don't know about other guys but lack of positivity is the biggest red flag I pay attention to. Life is hard. But your problems are not every body else's. If you can't put a positive spin on anything bad it's best to just not bring it up. Being if she whining on the first date, I promise you it will OT get better.

Character is a must. Be able to laugh at themselves not take themselves too seriously and be courageous enough to admit when they're wrong and compassionate enough to accept when others are too
