Why would some men say tall women are less desirable than short women? Is that even true?

My shorter (5’2, 5’3 and 5’5) slimmer friends always turns heads. I mean they’re very stunning women and I’m shape. They look AMAZING in clothes which I’m jealous of. Guys wouldn’t even give me the time of day at ALL. They never look my way. I get ignored or get asked about my shorter friends. I’m 5’10” 1/2 and 238lbs. I do carry the weight well but I’m still fat I won’t sugarcoat it. I only get shorter chubby or fat guys hitting on me but not much. I’ve only have guys that are were my friends, the girl that goods grades, not afraid to be funny but I was never the one to turn heads. Even tall guys won’t even look my way and shot on my shorts friends and even my 5’8” cousin that is naturally thin and in shape. She has a cute boyfriend and he’s 5’11.”
I’ve been dumped and left for prettier, shorter or petite girls.

A 6’10 guy I met in college one time said my 5’10” ass is too tall for him. I’m a foot shorter than him! He likes PETITE, not just short but a PETITE woman.
I have seen very tall basketball players with these tiny petite, or even these 5’4-5’5 women. Never with a tall of very tall women (6ft and over).

Why would some men say tall women are less desirable than short women? Is that even true?
