False. I do think men care about personality more than is generally believed. I do not think women care about looks any more than men do. I think this is more or less the same for men and women.

People care about looks. But I don't think it's a gender thing.

For many people of either gender, personality is important.

There are for sure different kinds of people. I just don't think gender is something that makes a difference.

Honestly, this is recognizing there is complexity between all people. Women care about personality and looks, just as men care about personality and looks. It is the individual and their perspective that drives their judgements then their own conclusions.

I'd say yes. I'd say values, character, beliefs, life goals more than just "personality". We had to be compatible.

I'd say a lot of guys just want to find her cute and someone fit. I'd say all of these insane beauty standards are applied by fellow women, not men. Women are competing with each other and following what they think the beauty standards are. That comes from women. Not men.

Not really. Women care about a man’s perceived social status tens of thousands times more than men (which means a conventional-likable personality is going to help a man a lot). Social status often means real or potential high financial status, also a trait women NOT men desire in their partners.

Men care more about looks, so what? Its due to our sexual dimorphism and the expected (and forced by nature) roles due to those differences that have practiced since the first humans.

Hmm maybe... though I would say it's black and white like that as men and women are individuals. Though I wouldn't be surprised if men liked personality and women liked looks more than they let one.

If a woman doesn't have both good looks, a personality like mine, and shared hobbies and interests, she won't even be considered for anything. Not dating, not sex, not marriage.
