Girls, why are women pickier on dating apps?

When I say pickier, I don't mean she should match with every guy who likes her. I understand women and girls also have preferences based on height, weight, physique, looks, charisma, education, morals/ethics, religion, etc. But let's say a guy is 7/10 in the looks department and has good qualities but still not be taken seriously.

if you are genuinely a 7/10 unless you shouldn't struggle too much on datings apps. though just saying a 7/10 dude won't be drowning in the same amount of matches a typical woman would be because on dating apps it's usually 90% men for 10% women, a lot of the women's profiles are old or unused but still put forward by the dating app if they're at least somewhat attractive. also i think more women use dating apps to find a boyfriend than for pure sex, while most men on there are looking for that, so if you seem like you're after different things it can make it harder for you too

I don’t disagree with you, for me I think I’m a 7/10, you might not think that or other girls, but another girl may think so 🤷🏻‍♂️ if I’m in shape, have good intelligence on matters, loyal, helpful, kind, can stand up for myself then overall I’d rather be that guy then a guy who’s 10/10 lacks faith, acts like a dick and thinks highly of himself. I’ve seen girls on these apps where I thought she was hot and I meet her in person and I’m not blown away by her looks, however, I can’t speak on behalf of all guys but I wouldn’t reject right away because she looked less attractive in person. I eat clean, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs, I jog 10,000 steps, dump my face in ice water every day for a few mins, lift weights, do 500 push up’s a day, I feel great and that’s the main thing if a girl can’t see that then I don’t know what she wants. I’ve had girls call me average or unmatch with me to pick another guy and i see the other guy and he looks nothing special. End of the day I can’t convince a girl to like me so I can’t stress over that. Eventually looks fade as we get older, it’s inevitable. I grew up thinking Pamela Anderson is a hot, now she’s approaching her 60s and she’s still attractive but I find her cute now.

The problem is looks are subjective so self ratings are not a thing that should be trusted. If she were seriously thinking that he indeed was good looking and had good qualities from just a profile blurb then chances are she would match. If things fall apart from there then it's because the guy wasn't as interesting in conversation.

Women, on average, have more options to choose from so it's that much harder to maintain interest from a match.

So is it better then that guys just approach in real life because personally I think dating apps can be toxic and depressing as the guy. Even female authors stated that dating apps are horrible for men and guys and work against them. I mean if I was looking for strictly a bodacious blonde like Pamela Anderson I’d be extremely picky to and wouldn’t like any female.

I've never used them before, but from what I've heard it can be hard since women have to look through all of the creeps or the guys who are only looking for sex. So, it might be hard for her to find the guy she's looking for & who she vibes with.

In terms of dates, I dunno if a guy and girl are meeting for the first time usually I hear coffee dates just to “talk” is the ice breaker stage. Usually guys don’t make it past that stage to a second date. I’ve been on dates where she’ll lean forward to me and show me stuff on her phone, or look in my eyes, or laugh but no second date. I don’t believe in hugging girls after the first date because I’m just trying to be a gentleman, hold the door open for her, pay for whatever we’re eating, and making sure she gets home safely. If I do all that I did my job. But if she doesn’t feel it, nothing much more I can do. I’ve been rejected by girls but later realized I’m glad they didn’t work out because she was rude and as a guy I have to value my self respect.

Your spouse should be your best friend so your statement above doesn’t make sense. If a girl or woman has any common sense then apps shouldn’t be about having flings or validation. And dating apps are designed for women to be delusional to find some incredible guy based solely on the physical aspect alone. I see more women nowadays who can’t cook, who don’t have feminine qualities. You know how many men in the world are over 6ft tall and make 6 figures the # is incredibly small. I don’t hear women really care about I want to be with a man who’s going to be a great father, it’s strictly about herself, so then what does she offer? Her vagina?
