I don't know about "red flag" but that's certainly not as much contact as you would hope. It depends on your situation I suppose. But I think you're right to not find that sufficient.

It's a guy who isn't putting in what you'd expect for effort, if he were interested. Now maybe there is some legitimate reason for this. Or maybe he's just a dummy, and is interested, just not texting enough.

Your best bet is to ask him about this. Let him know you'd like more contact, and see what he has to say.
