I am quite sure that this is not something that can be generalized to "all guys."

I'm looking for a partner. I wouldn't want to lift someone up (ideally). Nor would I ever settle.

I am sure you'll find a variety of answers from different guys. I don't think you can really make any statement about "guys" (all of them, or even most of them) on a question like this.

To me, both options are undesirable. Settling is off-the-table. But I know I'm only speaking for myself here.
