Do you find good looking strangers attractive? Do strangers turn you on more than familiar people? Let's say you're walking home from some place and you find someone looking hot and sexy, would you find them attractive?

Or would you rather find a good looking, well known friend of yours attractive?

I like this question very thoughtful. There are women that I find attractive because of novelty. Meaning they are unlike my girlfriend and it's instinctual. At this point in my life I've had enough sexual experiences with beautiful woman to realize that being different unique or younger, doesn't mean they can hold a candle to how my girl is in the bedroom. So although it may generate a moment of wow. It doesn't turn me on a fraction as much as when my girlfriend gets playful and obviously feeling frisky. Also although I have seen her naked countless times, it never fails to drive me wild if she sends me a racy pic of her body. So I would say on balance maybe a little bit of strange always catches a guy's eye. But familiarity doesn't breed contemp in my case. Rather the opposite her ability to push my buttons trumps novelty any day.

If you are in a great relationship or marriage, with someone who "gets" you and cares for you, it is NOT WORTH IT to throw it away for a fantasy. i dont think ratings of physical attractiveness has anything to do with wether someone is a stranger or not. i think personally i notice a lot less how good looking someone is if i know them. i dont really register their appearance that much when i interact with them. but not strangers,

Honestly, its the opposite for me. I am more inclined to find a girl attractive after knowing her.

I have certainly had the experience of a hot girl having a shitty personality, and becoming less hot. But it's usually the other way around.

objectively? Yes, an attractive person is attractive but just because I can tell that a guy is good looking doesn't mean I'm gay. Physical attraction has nothing to do with knowing the person or not, mental attraction has to do with compatibility, and you can't know compatibility without first being friends for a while.
