Nope. That is not what it means. It means that people see that your depreciating jokes are hiding some serious feelings of inadequacy. It's probably a matter of you telling too many self deprtecating jokes, too often. It's no longer funny, once you realize someone truly doesn't like themselves. It becomes uncomfortable for people to hear self deprecating jokes, if they believe you really do feel that way about yourself. Then it's not funny, it's just uncomfortable. It has nothing to do with how you look. It has to do with HOW YOU CLEARLY THINK YOU LOOK. That is what causes them not to laugh. Not how you look; but how you feel about how you look.

Not ugly. Just kinda sad there's no reason to put yourself down thinking it's going to get you friend and if your always doing it they won't even want to be around you ... just because you see yourself that. Maybe know one else does

If you do it too much, people generally get tired of it because they know you aren't joking and just start to pity you lol. I used to do it around guys I liked and it turned them off. It's best not to do it unless its a one off.

If you have to try to be funny with jokes of any kind that means you’re not funny


Truly funny people bring out humor in every day conversation without really trying


The best comedians are the ones who just let their intrusive thoughts out not the ones that come up with jokes

No if you have low self esteem and self deprecate it seen as self hatred and woe is me, if you're confident or perceived as such self deprecation is funny because its taking yourself lightly. Like people call me faqqot A L O T , but if I insult myself then they say, he's a self deprecating faqqot. So I lose either way.

If you want to know if you're ugly reflect on how society treats you in life. Do people insult you or give you dirty looks? Do people hate being around you? Are you treated as if you dont exist or as a doormat? Are women cruel to you for sport. Do you get laughed at regularly?

No. It could be that they sense that you believe you're ugly.

We as human beings generally are hardest on ourselves. Somebody may not consider you ugly. But by your demeanor you make them feel uncomfortable knocking on yourself.
