Why do people have to call someone stupid when they fall for a scam?

You're not stupid you have to double check everything because I guarantee it. Once they do something they're going to keep trying and they're gonna lie their a**** off to you. Do not believe anybody on the internet, especially if they want you to pay some sort of somebody that can help you but do not try to do it on your own. Because they will scare you and they're good at it.

And if somebody gets you online , and they're trying to get money Do not give them any information. No bank card number, no social security number. No Medicare medicaid number No birthday you go give them any information. If they get one little piece of information from you, they'll try again with another 1 little piece of information and they'll just keep building it if you think you wouldn't a prize or something. The odds are it's a scam. If you don't have anybody to call or talk to ask cut somebody on here There's some good people on here. But don't give them any information either. Just tell them what's happening and what you should do about it. And if you get something on your computer that says does call Microsoft is a scan. Unplug your computer plug it back in in a day

Truth hurts I guess. Only 3 possibilities to why someone got scammed...

They're dumb, the scam was so elaborate and smart it would surpass the 99% (very unlikely), the person made a rash quick choice that if they had took a moment would of not.

It's easy.

We've all be scammed at one time or another. But some people learn slower than others. Or are more trusting than others. Me, I assume people are lying to me all the time. Some of my friends even call me paranoid. But it hasn't stopped me from getting taken a time or two. It happens. I won't even answer the phone unless I recognize a number because it's safer (and that has backfired on me). My attitude is if it's that important they'll leave a message.

I get where you're coming from. But I guess that's a natural reaction when people do things that seem so obviously wrong. Stupid may not be the right word, perhaps gullible would be better.

Thank you Alex. We know we were stupid but when life beats you down and someone good looking and wealthy tells you everything you have needed for so long and you just fall for it.. and you fall in love with the scammer. I've been had to the tune of $40,000 and I've been trying to get away from him and even though he stole my money he keeps begging for more. I quit giving him money but he still asking for more. I have Huntington's disease and I need my money to pay for help. I can't drive anymore so I need to pay for rides to Dr. Appointments and trips to the hospital and grocery stores but none of it matters to him.
