even those in security have fallen for it... it might seem easy once it happens but it is not just about that

sometimes it is "easy" when there's an exploit that people just can't defend against... other times it might seem easy, when people get scammed during a vulnerable moment... people make mistakes, even experts

Scammers are definitely getting cleverer but it only takes looking at something for a little longer to be able to work out it's a scam as the scammers always seem to make mistakes which unfortunately not everyone sees

If they're approached the right way. ANYONE can fall for a scam that is tailored perfectly to them. This is why scammers don't have to get everyone that they attempt. Just the segment of people that are RIPE for their scam.

I think that many people can get scammed, but if people would pay more attention to who they're talking to and what they're doing, it would be reduced greatly.
