Do scammers even believe their own lies?

Someone online with an obvious staged picture that refuses a video call has been trying too hard with his idiotic love messages.

I've already clearly stated that as soon as he starts asking for money, any card (gift card, debit, credit, etc) or personal information such as my address or whatever, I'm going to block him. I've also requested for the 2nd time for him to show up on a video call or else he's a liar.

He still had the never to feeling offended that I distrust him so much, that he's hurt, etc. Since he's trying too hard and being so persistent I think now I'm going to waste his time and pretend to go along with it. I want to scambait him. Seriously do they even believe their own lies?

I'll start by issuing him a fake apology for ''distrusting him'' and play dumb. I'll give him fake information if he ask, just like they lie so much, I'm going to lie too.

I used to wonder this but discovered it doesn't matter. They have warped their own sense of belief to do whatever they think it needs to do to get them what they want. Trying to pin it down is like trying to weave a box of shadows in which to carry water. Consistency and being able to check that theirnideas work in the real world aren't important to them.

With this scammer, it got so ridiculous that I'm laughing. I decided to toy with him, waste his time instead since he's so persistent on his scam, lol. I guess even though his grade in scamming is a big fat F, I'll give him an A for trying LMAO.

They really suck at their scam whenever they claim to be from any states in the US and have an obvious Indian accent. LOL
If you're going to lie about being from the US, then at least have the correct accent.
