Fact is pushing 80 implies he’s soon to have reduced autonomy and functionality


Unless he’s a healthy active man who never really let himself go and has aged very gracefully


Also: considering their advanced ages I think they’re more than old enough to make this decision for themselves
Neither one is driven by hormonal rage
that’s the past for them


When old people get together it’s usually a conscious decision based on finally knowing what they want and no longer caring about social opinions

Yes. I think that there is no argument to be made about it being age-inappropriate. A 60 year old female, and a 78 year old male is nobody's business to judge in any way. What's the problem? I can't imagine.
