I was talking to a guy for a few weeks online, we matched and couldn’t meet as he was busy but we were vibing well.
We finally met in person but I could tell he just wasn’t feeling it, he ordered me a drink (without asking me) but he knew I liked it which was fine, and gave me a hug when I met him.
We went walking and talking, but he was asking me lots of questions but didn’t seem to want to talk about himself, when I had a chance to ask him stuff he’d just give basic answers and then ask me more.
Hardly much eye contact while walking, but laughing, but no touching or flirting from him, maybe a couple of times.
Then he walked ahead of me a few times and seemed distracted like he was looking around for places to walk, and when we sat for a minute he was playing with his hair a lot.
I was taken back because I thought online we matched well, and then he said he had to go after about 2hrs and said it was nice to meet me with another hug.
Then I got the dreaded ‘no vibe’ text later that night, but appreciate he let me know at least…was he just not attracted to me?

Well believe it or not people online w all their confidence are as confident as they appear to be online when meeting someone in person. That’s why I don’t like the whole concept of online dating. People online build theirselves up at times to be more then they really are.
Maybe he was into you to begin w but it’s possible that what you may have said in response to what he was asking about your personal life may have turned him off. As for him taking about himself. Unless he’s arrogant, most men, unlike a lot of women don’t like talking about their self. Too, men know women get mad when you don’t ask them about them. So he was probably getting to know you more because as men we know women like attention. Men not so much. Especially if he doesn’t have a stellar life, or feels like there’s not much to be proud of. As for the no eye contact. Could have been nervous overall. Whether flirting, or touching, honestly men don’t know which way to go w that. It’s like do I flirt? Do I not flirt? If I flirt she may not like it. As the saying goes. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I mean hell it used to be a thing where men brought flowers on a date. Now a lot of women think it’s corny. Women don’t understand the pressures of dating when it comes to all the things a man is supposed to do or not do. Maybe some do but a majority of women aren’t the ones asking out men. It’s like ok do I open the door for her or is she some strong, independent female who’s going to think I’m undermining her independence? Do I bring flowers? Do I order for her? I don’t order for her? Do I offer her my jacket? Did I pick the right restaurant? If not is she going to see me as cheap? A lot of woke these days have told men they’re useless, that women don’t need men. You pretty much have one shot at trying to get this right as a man. Women tend to have all these “icks” about men. She won’t date him cause his jaw clicks when he eats. Or he wears socks w sandals. He’s short. He’s over sensitive. The list goes on.
Thanks for that, do you think he just wasn’t into me?
He could have been like I said but maybe something you said when you two were talking turned him off.
