I walked towards him and said hi to him and he said hi back. Then he turned to walk towards the entrance of the restaurant ( I was walking behind him) but seconds after doing that he looked over his shoulder with slight smile.
When we sitted down he was visibly nervous. His legs were shaking, he was talking a lot and fast, stuttering etc
I don't know at one point he pulled out his phone though…

I'd say definitely. A lot of guys aren't the best at communicating which is why a lot of relationships end up in a outhouse.
