You ever worry about looking "perfect" before meeting someone?

I'm invited to dinner to a male friend's and I have changed outfit some three times lol. Formal suit & medals, ditched because it's an informal occasion, too hot for usual my stalinka so I am settling on just shirt, suit without tie.

Strangely enough I don't get this nervous when meeting women, I usually go along better with them and they are much easier to find the right buttons to push so to say. But with men, it always seems I do or say something that turns them off, which is a shame because I'd very much like to have a couple of stable guy friends/bros.

Never. I don’t put a lot of stock into what others think to begin with. Either they like me or they don’t. I actually have little control over that because i refuse to behave in a way that’s untrue to my self just to garner affinity.
I also pay very little attention to what i’m wearing most of the time. My clothes fit, are clean, and items generally match by color. I don’t think i look like i dressed out of the lost and found box, and that’s good enough.
Again, either they like me or they don’t. If style and fashion are very important to them, they probably won’t and that’s okay.

When i was dating, i had a first date “uniform” which i wore only for first dates. Then i didn’t need to worry about what to wear.

I do sometimes if it's a specific sort of crowd and the person I'm meeting is part of that crowd. But as a rule "perfect" for me is still a very classic, natural look, so it's just a matter of ironing my clothes, looking sharp and popping on A DASH of mascara and gloss. Nothing crazy.
