Time frame between messages, if you haven't had a reply yet?

Someone I've known for years sent me a message (on socials) last month to see how things have been, then followed up saying they'd be over (near where I live) next month. We caught up a bit, asking how we are, what we're up to, future plans etc. and have been chatting (away from socials) most days for the last month. We were texting one Friday, with natural pauses, and it went on into the evening. They replied to my last message around 2am and I didn't see the message until 6.30am that morning. It was too early to text so I held off, but the day got away with me with work and other stuff and I didn't end up texting until Sunday afternoon. I casually explained and asked how their weekend was going. It's been 4 days and they've not yet said anything. We check in and ask how each other is, all the time. Our chats are very easy going, so I would have thought they'd have text something by now, even if not related to my last message. I'm not sitting by the phone waiting, but do want to text to check in and see if they're OK. Should I leave it a couple more days, or even wait until after the weekend. Might they just need space right now? If something is up, could they have assumed I'd have noticed that and wondered why I hadn't text (again)? We're supposed to be seeing each other soon thought there's not a confirmed date, it depends on work. Should I send a 'Hey, how's you week going?' In the next day or two or something next week? Who should make the next move here. I don't want to seem needy but want to give them space and hope they're ok.
