Avoidant vs. uninterested?

How do you know if he/she is avoidant or not interested in you? What is the difference between avoidant and uninterested?

Avoidant-someone who is emotionally or physically distancing themselves but there is interest there underneath but the person avoids closeness.

Uninterested-someone who simply does not care at all and there is absolutely no interest underneath it all.

Like, how well do you know them? Is it a man or woman? What do you want to happen, in an ideal world?

The words are very similar. Either way you look at it the person just is not interested at all
