Interested vs. being polite

I can't tell if my crush likes me back, or if he is just being polite. Guys, can you explain the difference?

To be more specific , I work with my crush and were always surrounded by a huge group of people. He has never asked me for my number.

tough one I say that because I try to always be polite. I also am bad at telling if girls like me or are being polite.

Well it is the 20th century text him and say lets go on a date. that way it is clear it is not just hanging out. If he can't for some reason then try again a few day later if he can't for some reason try again a few day later if he can not and does not say I am sorry I really wan tto I have all these things going on at the moment . give up or say OK you callme whnen your ready and then if it more than a week go find osomen else.

Atleased now aday you can text and don't have to do it face to face if you don't want to.

I usually need somethign that is preety un ambiguas which is not somehting that woman are usually very good at. In thier own way they are but from a guys perspective not usually.

Funny thing, I think the exact same thing about guys! Many are always ambiguous, if you ask "are you interested?", they'll reply "I didn't say I wasn't" and nothing changes >___>

If he is taking an interest in what you are saying and really responding to it that is a good sign. If he initiates conversation occasionally or brings up new topics that is a good sign. If he is flirtatious in his messages that is a good sign.

The big thing to look for if the guy is polite is really that he is just going through the motions. If you tell him something and he just says "wow that's cool" or something and doesn't talk to you about it that's kind of fishy isn't it? A guy who likes you is going to take an interest in what you are saying

If they take an active interest in you, then they are interested.

I would try to spend as much time around her as I can, and learn as much about her as I can also. Also, I'd try to touch her as much as I can and hold eye contact. However, some guys are more shy and won't necessarily take this approach but they would probably act more awkward around you. If he seems confident talking to you and doesn't try to physically escalate then he's probably not interested, but then again everyone's different.

Well for me, when I am interested I try to be flirty with her,smile... I would also often look at her and would let her catch me doing it, would use every chance to talk to her a bit more, etc...

when I'm being polite I only respond when you take the initiative. when I'm interested I'll start a conversation myself. That's it in short for me.

Being polite is being gentlemanly and has refined manners towards you.

Being interested can be seen through body language and the flirty gestures and actions.
