What is the difference between a guy being nice and a guy who’s interested?

Like what is the difference? esp if he’s the kind of guy who is nice, friendly, helpful and kind to everyone? =/ I've met guys like these types and they always send out very ambiguous signals. so I ain't sure anymore. and if he’s the shy type I get it, but I tend to attract the extroverted, friendly types

like if you catch him looking/glancing at you briefly sometimes. and if he has to meet a friend for lunch but asked you to join him as well, totally surprising both you and his friend. and when he’s with you, he’s more quiet than when you guys were in a group. and sometimes when you guys are in a group, he laughs at what you say and even teases you at times. when you guys are alone, the conversation tends to drift to your opinions on things, problems with school and he'd ask me about me sometimes (cause I'm of mixed ethnicity)

OK I could go on, but never mind. what are the differences? =/ thanks!

He likes you. If he did`nt there would be no gaps in the conversation and he would`nt be talking about you. We guys don`t care about your opinions that much. Not because we`re jerks but because we have different interests. Imagine if the guy you like was into collecting pocket lint. You`re not a jerk for not caring you just don`t.

anyway, the fact that he talks about you and gets quiet (can`t think of what to say because it isn`t comming naturally) means he likes you. Man I miss the days when you just got or a gave a good kick to the shin to express love.

anyway, yes he could like me, but I realise I don't really have the same feelings as him... I prefer being frens. he moved things way fast by calling me his girlfriend and everything when we've only properly known each other a week. kinda disgusting =/

Guys & girls do not necessarily have different likes... Like you could share the same interest in school or traveling or music - what else would you be asking an opinion about?

Well, If I'm interested in a girl, and say we're walking together, I would walk closer to her slightly rubbing arms once a while. If I'm just being a nice guy I'll be walking beside her about a foot to two feet away. Also if you're talking and he didn't really catch what you were saying, an interested guy would lean in really close to your mouth to listen. A nice guy would just ask you to speak up a bit more.

Guys don't just decide "Oh, I think I'll be nice to this chick. She has nothing to offer me and I don't want anything from her. It's just the right thing to do."

No dude, it's not in the male nature. We're not nice creatures. And if a guy is nice to you, then you can assume he wants something from you, whatever it is.

What about guys who are nice to you cause your their friend. or you just mean extremely noticably nice.

Be especially wary of guys who are nice to you because they're your friend. There really aren't that many girls in the world who are just that cool that guys want to hang out with them and be nice. Most guys are interested in something more, even if it's not at the top of their agenda.

id say just go out on a date with him and say to him your just fidning if this could be something more you'll know what he's like in a month hopefully by then you'll have made up your mind
