Guys & girls, do you know the difference between someone being friendly / nice to you and someone who is actually showing interest in you?

There's been a few posts on this site descriping people simply being friendly or nice to the poster in real life - as example holding the door, having friendly engaging conversation, etc - and the poster commenting that the person is interested in them.

So do you know the difference?

I think there’s a mindset some women have (not sure if who you’re referring to is a man or a woman) that if a man does nice things for them, he’s probably interested in them or at least thinks they’re attractive. And to some degree, it’s probably true. Men are nicer to you when they’re attracted to you. But some men are just doing friendly things just to be friendly.

Hmm not rlly, I can never tell so I just assume it’s all friendliness
