Uninterested or Oblivious?

So there's this guy I like, who's known for being kind of oblivious to things, but I've been hinting really hard that I like him.
The thing is, he doesn't seem to acknowledge any of these hints. I mean, at all. So, my assumption is that he's uninterested. But a friend we have in common says he acts like he likes me, but this person may be looking too much into it.
I really don't know, because I have made it really obvious, but he doesn't seem to be picking up on any of it, either that or he's uninterested.
How do I tell which one it is?

Some people, mainly shy or introvert ones have no understanding of body language or facial expressions because either they are genuinely uninterested or are too busy with their issues to even want to learn their respective meanings.

Others, cleverly hide their mimics and pretend just to be ignorant and oblivious to their surroundings but secretly absorb everything they see.

Is this guy shy by nature or do you have the feeling he is introvert? Are there other situations in life where you know he acts differently? If yes, then he belongs to the 2nd. category and is just playing hard to get.

If you are really into him, then you must not beat around the bush and go straight to the point. You may face a rejection but this is still better than not to know and start working on different scenarios.

He is definitely not introverted, nor shy. In fact, he's the exact opposite. He's outgoing, easy to talk to, etc.

Then my bet is that he is cleverly observing you and he wants you to simmer in your frying pan.

Don't give him that pleasure and take the lead in that situation. That will prove him that you have "ball" and that you are a go-getter and winner

Were not oblivious were just uninterested. Why? Well when you show us interest and then pretend like we misinterpreted you when not going to believe any of you girls when you show interest. Why? Because you could be one of those girls who give signs has him ask you out and then pretends like he misinterpreted what you said. Not every girls like that? Well sorry were not your mental punching bags we don't like our mental health being toyed with. If you girls actually did more than just give "signs" which could be anything and so random it could be something everyone does in public like maybe approach us touch us make conversation with us we'd actually consider a relationship.

Men are dumb and stupid. If you just "hint things towards us", most probably we dont get it. Just tell him, what you feel or think, he will appreciate your honesty.

It's entirely possible me that he is oblivious. He may like you but still fear rejection.
