Girls, Is it ok if I'm not the macho man type?

All the macho man types I've seen in life are pure assholes violent and have serious substance abuse issues. They're violent to their children and wives. They cheat all the time and teach their sons it's ok to do so. They teach their kids to be bullies and look down on people not like them. I'm more of the quiet introspective type who reads a lot. I'm generally nice to people unless they piss me off too many times. I'm respectful of women and don't refer to them as females. I don't believe in abuse in any form as punishment. Talking to your kids nicely and trying to understand their problems makes them feel a lot better than hitting them and verbally abusing them. Talking things out with your wife is a far better way than hitting her with a beer bottle. I don't drink due to being abused by an alcoholic. Am I wrong for just being who I am or do I need to be Macho man/ chauvinist to attract women?

You said it yourself, that type is bad. And most of the time women find themselves with that type because they don't recognize that the man is like that initially, or he lied to her about who he is. In that case, women are attracted to men who respect them. I believe that for the macho man type, once they've got their foot in the door with a girl, and treats her how she wants to be treated until she falls in love, then she is on the hook and thats hard to get out of.
