Should I go over to his place?

I’m 18, and I want to go over to my boyfriend’s house for his birthday. The plan is to bake a cake together, but the problem is my parents don’t agree with me going over to his place until we’ve been together for a year. Which I do understand we but don’t have a year, because he’s joining the Marines soon. After that, I won’t see him for about four years, and I’m also planning on moving. So I’m not sure—should I still go, as long as I let them know where I am and keep checking in with them?
