How do I survive in this generation?

So I am a guy that is a little different from most guys in my circles and my age.

I don’t like to hookup as I really need a relationship and if I were to which I could’ve done a couple times recently. I would either feel like I am not true to myself or I would get attached and like that person too much.

Well a lot of guys call me crazy for denying this and that. It’s hard but i’d rather stay true to myself than impress some guys.

I just wanna have a girl that I am confident I could put up with forever and be able to look in her eyes and say that I love her

Just bc you won't allow yourself a cheap hookup at the (stupidly young) age of 18 doesn't mean that you're different from anyone. A LOT of guys haven't done it yet. Just get over yourself. Girls your age aren't "all that" anyway. They're hormonal shit doesn't level out till they're 25. Go look for a gal when you're closer to 25.

Finish college and go reach your potential before thinking about some rando bothering you for a hookup. Remember that some guys talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

Find a woman who’s like you. They do exist and there are more of them than you think. I know because I’m one of them and so are my female friends. Non of us has ever had a hookup, nor do we want to. We want men like you.

I say this a lot here. Just be yourself. When I was your age I thought similar to you. I didn’t want sex, I wanted love. So I let a lot of opportunities for sex go by. I don’t regret that. Because my life would have been different if I slept around a lot.
I too only wanted sex if I had feelings for the girl and her me. Don’t worry what your friends think just you do you. Good luck and hope you find what you are looking for.

You might find comfort in surrounding yourself with a more religious crowd. I found that the quality of women I interacted with improved massively when I took my faith more seriously.

Find a circle of people who are like you, a church, a community group, a hiking group, a volunteer group, something, there are people out there who are like you, you just have to find them and spend time with them to get to know them.
