Ldr reply timings?

A guy I'm seeing for about 4 months has developed this habit of replying 24 hours later, sometimes it takes him 36 hours or 2 days to respond. It's a long distance relationship and we only have calls once or 2x a week.

Texting is the only way to things alive and I have brought it up a few times, he doesn't seem to want to change.

Is this normal?

Have you ever heard of actually talking? It was once very popular. A LDR is doomed to fail from the outset, but adding texting as a way to try to communicate is just embarassingly stupid.

Without a feasible endpoint in place LDRs are just fantasies. They rarely ever work for reasons just like this. Cut your losses, it sounds like time wasted rn not a relationship at all.

Long distance relationships only work if it is temporary and there is a plan with an actual timeframe of when one of them will move to be together, otherwise it is just a waste of time and wishful thinking.

A 24 hours timespan doesn't sound that bad, it's the usual time I use with a woman I was talking with. That said, we videocall every two-three days.

LDR have a shelf life. If his habits changed then he probably changed how he feels about you. More than likely he's talking to another person because he doesn't take your concerns serious. Move on or don't complain if you stick around for more.
