Girls, why would you ask a guy for his number after a date then not follow up/call? Don't you think doing this is disrespectful and breeds resentment?

I just listened to a podcast by a pretty famous US relationship podcaster who advised a straight guy who was asked for his number after a few dates with different women only for none of them returning any communication. Why ask when you're not going to respond or why not just message saying "thanks but I'm not going to pursue anything between us, good luck finding someone else ".

Yes there may have been previous issues where rejection wasn't taken well, but asking then ghosting is just going to piss someone off.

The podcaster basically told him and guys in general to "be the better person and move on" which is only encouraging shitty disrespectful and entitled behaviour.

Someone recently pointed out that people learning to handle firearms are first taught to treat every firearm as if it's loaded and dangerous. Women have learned to treat men the same way.

I once knew a woman, that out of blue, asked me what my preferred means of communication was. I thought she was asking cause she wanted to contact me. Turned out I was wrong.
