Is it rude for a guy to talk to a girl and ask for her number if she is out with a guy already?

So today I went to the club with some friends and as I was leaving I saw this girl and started talking to her. We seemed to hit it off a bit so I asked for her Instagram and she gave it to me and seemed enthusiastic about the whole encounter but the guy she was with was not happy at all and made a bit of a deal of the whole situation. Later one on of my male friends said that I was being disrespectful by doing all of that but I’m not sure if I agree with it. What everyone’s opinion on this?

I certainly don’t think it is. Unless she came out directly stating that she was w her boyfriend how are you to know who he is to her? Maybe he was a friend? A friend she put on the friend’s list who is interested in her but she doesn’t have the same feelings for him. A brother. Obviously she didn’t think it was disrespectful. I would think of it as her being disrespectful to her friend, boyfriend, whatever he is to her by engaging in a conversation w you. But that didn’t seem like that was the case at all if she seemed enthusiastic about conversing w you as well as giving you her IG.

It’s your life bro. Many of my concerns, problems went away when I stopped giving a shit about what everyone else thought. If anything it was disrespectful of her to converse w you if that was her man. Obviously if he was her man he was too much of a bitch to step up to say something. But you may want to think about this. If he was her man, what will she do to you if she ends up as your squirrel if she can disrespect her man just like that.

@Gangactivities911 Once upon a time I went out with this girl. It was out first date. We went to a club in the city. We sat at a big table and I got up to get us drinks. When I came back there was a guy sitting in my seat trying to pickup this girl. I stood behind the guy and the girl starts looking at me and the guy sees her looking behind mum and turns around to see what she was looking at. He sees me and I jerk my thumb over suggesting that he get out of my seat and get lost. He sees I am not playing and he gets lost.
