It’s unusual, but not in a bad way. It would be cute and would take the pressure off of the girl being asked for her number. This is a much more casual way to initiate things.

but do it in a clever way like, "hey, i forgot to give my number" and then she'll say something like "i don't even know you" and you can say "even better," something like that
