Girls, Why would you ask your friends to call a guy you've been seeing?

I'm in a scary situation right now. Three friends of the girl I've been seeing asked to set up meetings with me. Two ladies and one guy.

The ladies asked to schedule a call, and the guy wanted to do a face-to-face lunch.

Part of me feels like this could be a good sign. The other part feels like this is bad.

Women, why would you have your friends talk with a guy like that?
