Why do you call guys that know likes you your friend?

Hello, I really want to ask this question bothering me a lady I liked, have being chatting with her for a while, told her am going through she really called and shows cares but at the end wishes me happy Christmas calling me her friend.

One thing I've learned is to never be a burden/show weakness, especially to women. At least not early on.

Women want to be pampered, be taken care of, not the other way around unless she's already into you or feeling you.

I was that kind of guy last year... Telling this lady my issues thinking she'd empathize and then connect with me, but no, she didn't even empathize. I was just bothering the 19 yr old girl)(I was 20 then) with my issues. Most will try to offer help and nothing more unless they liked you first.

I changed this year. I realized I was good enough and didn't have to make anyone like me by doing things I wouldn't normally do or sharing things I wouldn't stress even my friends with in the first place.

She's not your girlfriend or partner. Drop the expectation and be lively, be you. Be the guy you are around friends and be bold too.

And oh, that girl from last year, we've been vibing a lot lately. She's feeling me now. Secret: I dropped my expectations 'cause I knew I was good enough to attract even better people, I was me in the DMs and not some people pleasing agreeable person. Made myself less available. My yes was yes, my no was no. I worked hard on school work, passion, and job to take her off my mind... Now, I flirt in her DM freely, reply when I want to, refuse to agree to what I'm against, be myself and things have been going good.

It's psychological. As much as we'll help people in need as good people that we are, deep down we don't want cry babies, bearing other people's burden, especially when we're not related or very close friends.

So, yes. She called you friend because she wants you to understand that she's not interested in you romantically. Work on yourself, share your problems with friends, not a woman you're trying to win. The time will come for vulnerability, but it's not now.

At this point, don't force anything. Work on yourself, leave her, there are many more. You've got worth, let people see it in you. Work on being mentally, financially, spiritually, socially stable. Women will notice and know you're high value. Don't be surprised if that lady comes running back, but don't bank on it.
