I'm old school (I'm also old). When I was younger and dating, if a woman gave me her number, she expected me to call her (after waiting the appropriate 3 day rule, of course).
In today's world, do women expect the guy to call them? or text them?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Call. Texting is not my thing. I'm not a texting person. I like to speak rather than type and hearing their voice helps me understand what sort of mood they're in, how honest are they and what sort of person they are, etc. So, I prefer talking over the phone call especially if I'm trying to get to know someone.
Regardless who's got my number I prefer a text first. If I respond immediately I might be free to chat otherwise I'll get back.
Texting. No offense, but I'm one of those people that are better at relaying my thoughts through words rather than talking. I -will- talk to someone on the phone if need be, or if they really want to hear my voice, but don't expect a long, 1-2 hour conversation from me right away.
Texting allows us to get to know each other on a comfortable level without any awkward, "I don't know what to say" silence, or forcing small talk. And as I said previously, I'm one of those people that does better portraying my thoughts through words because I have time to think out what I want to say.
If a dude waits 3 days to contact me, im on to the next. I dont have time for those stupidass games. If we exchange numbers, feel free to call me later that day or the next day. But waiting longer than that is just silly. I hate texting but ask that people text before calling just in case im working or at church or somethin

If I like the guy, yes I would like to hear from him regularly. We don't have to text all day every day, in fact that would stress me out.
Checking in is nice and saying you are thinking of her is cute. Good mornings and good nights is also cute too. But you should ask her if she likes texting or calling, she'd probably be honest with you.
Definitely text first. Texting will jog the memory of who you were taking with. While texting, you’ll be able to reassess prior interaction with them (did I really like them or was I forcing it, do they keep the same energy they do in person?). It’ll bring up some more points to discuss if you do get a chance to talk on the phone.
I prefer text cause a phone call is disruptive if I’m in a place where a beeping phone is distracting such as a movie theatre or bus or public washroom.
I'd expect a text. A cold would be fine too, but I would much rather a phone call to be expected and not at some random, inconvenient or awkward time.
calling is the way to go... texting is somebody without a spine does especially to talk to a girl of his dream.
I don’t mind calls but I know it varies from woman to woman. In fact I prefer calls because most men are such boring texters.
I expect us to talk by texting or calling. Why else would I give it?
I don't give my number out to anyone. I don't care who they are.
