So a girl gives you her number, what does it mean?

So I just got this girls number after talking to her for about an hour. We were laughing and she was talking a ton. Like I started the convo but she talked for 80% of the time. If there was ever a silence, she would say something.

well anyway, I have gotten numbers before but I just thought of this question...

girls! if you give a guy your number, do you always do it because you want to talk more/go on a date. Or do you sometimes give your number just to be nice?

guys! when you get a girls number, how often does it end up with you going on a date?

And a second question: should I call or text first? And how long should I wait?

Whenever I give a guy my number-unless he's a close friend- I'm interested. I wouldn't waste my time giving you my number... I have never given out to be nice. If they ask and I don't want to give it, I say I don't have a phone. ANYWAYS, I would text first and don't wait long, or she might think your not interested

well she had her phone on her lap for the couple hrs we were talking so your excuse wouldn't have worked ;) oh and what do you think I should text her when I decide to? I'm decent at convos in person but I suck like none other at texting :(

yea that hardly works from a guy perspective. If a guy gives a girl their number, they hardly ever get a call from her haha

lol. But a girl could feel the same way if she gave you her number she might not know when she would expect to hear from you if she really liked you. But if I really liked the guy then I would call. Don't really like to play phone games a lot lol. waiting...i guess I could see the whole anx of it but if I like you you'd know it and I'd text or call later that night or the next day. If you don't feel that way then don't give your number out. lol..

haha well I speak from experience that girls that even seem to really like a guy won't text/call if the guy gives the number to her. you might we the one in a hundred girl that wants to make the first move...i wish there were more of you :)

A girl can give a fake number if she's just being nice. They can also use the easy way out and say "I have a man"

I think they usually like the compliment that someone thought they were attractive enough to ask for their number.

I also struggle with the dumb text or call question. It just depends on the bird.

You can try and find peace by remembering that if they don't respond then it wasn't meant to be. And could be their loss...

I've been rejected by birds at the cash register, and I have an incredeibly interesting job and life. So, to me its llike they dont knnow what they're missing.
