What's the question that makes or breaks a date?

For most people it's a question about religion, political beliefs or marriage.

For me it's "How much?". Works like a charm, either she stands up and walks away, or we get to the negotiation phase.

I like a guy to be direct with me, but there's a difference between direct and rude. If the guy is prying for information that is TOO PRIVATE on a first date, and doesn't accept the response that I'm not comfortable sharing that detail yet (since it's too early to share everything with a stranger you only just met) then game over.

Anyway... it is always weird to see people here talk about "dates". I dunno if things have changed in the past 20 years, but last I checked people don't even do that here. I mean the word "dating" has been borrowed from the yanks, but it isn't actually a thing that gets done... so all this is irrelevant.
