The guy I'm with now was pretty casual about it. At the end of our first date, which was just coffee before work lol he said he really enjoyed it and if I wanted to get together later in the week for dinner. Of course I said, "yes". It's not required or really expected I guess but it does show you're interested and enjoy her company.
