Are there rules against women asking for the second date?

Had a first date that was last Friday that went well. He and I have been in contact everyday since then either texting or FaceTime. He hasn’t asked me in a second date yet but has said things during conversations such as “the next time we go out-“. It’s nearing the weekend so I’m kinda curious to see if we may see each other

Nothing at all wrong with taking the initiative and asking him out on a date. However I do think it can be quite telling when a guy isn’t taking that step himself. They say a man should always like or love his woman more for a relationship to be successful and this could be an indication of who is feeling who more.

I don't know if he’s asked you out since I left this comment and who knows, maybe he just isn’t available this weekend and that’s why he hasn’t asked. I don’t mind giving benefit of the doubt. Both of our work schedules don’t align to do much during the week, we both have 9 to 5 and don’t have much time in the evening so we’d rather go out on weekends. I asked him since then and he said he wanted to but was just wanting to make a little more money again. I let him know that I don’t mind paying for some dates in the future!
