Do women enjoy the power of rejecting someone?

Question

After reading many questions and answers about rejecting or being rejected, i'm curious to know if women enjoys having this power, such as: (guys are standing in lines drooling like dogs to get me but i have rejected them all) i read this comment over here somewhere 😏

I remember a guy telling me a story about someone he was friends with.

Guy was very good looking, charismatic, everyone loved him, he was always making good money. He dated this girl and however it ended, she wouldn't tell him why and the guy spiraled after.

He gained a ton of weight, stopped going out, became addicted to drugs. He begged her for closure because he had absolutely no idea why she broke up with him.

The answer by the way is she was a total count and she liked breaking people.

The guy is currently at a mental home on lithium or something and the girl is ugly and probably not far behind because apparently she keeps narrowly avoiding being put away.

The moral of the story in my opinion being that in life there's things that are worth worrying about and things that are not worth worrying about and nobody owes you anything. Least of all, an ex.

There are a number of social experiments that document how having power over others affects people’s mentality and behavior. It is often deplorable. Particularly people who feel little to no power in their day to day lives will tend to abuse power once they have achieved it. Or more likely, when they’ve been granted power not necessarily earned.
Power can be dangerous when held by people untrained in how to manage it. That’s why we teach people how to handle firearms, motor vehicles, and their own bodies in combat. We stopped teaching people how to be mindful of other people’s feelings a long time ago. So it often appears that people relish in hurting and humiliating others. Even if they don’t like it, they act like they do because it’s fashionable to be offensive right now.

I don't really think it's a gender thing. Some individuals are just walking ego factories; incredibly arrogant, or narcissistic, and/or unempathetic so they enjoy flexing their own perceived superiority at every opportunity. It makes them feel important, when in reality it is just a mask for deep-rooted insecurities (like they're constantly trying to prove something to themselves, or others) and cruelty.

This kind of behavior tends to show up more often in specific personality archetypes (for instance, the so-called alpha males, the bad boys, or the new era feminists. in my opinion both of these are two sides of the same coin) ps: I went anon, cause I enjoy living and would prefer not to be digitally tarred or feathered by any of these lovely humans

I don’t like rejecting men. I really don’t. Because there’s always a chance he’s going to get angry and aggressive and then the cursing and stalking starts, or he thinks he can change my mind and then tries harder instead of backing off. Or there’s a chance that he’ll take it personally and get his feelings hurt and then you feel bad.

some women will get a power kick from rejecting men, but those are what you call bitches. Truly nice girls will try to spare the man’s feelings and let him down gently.

I’ve been nasty when rejecting men but only when they get pissed off at me for rejecting them, when they can’t take no for an answer or when they just meet me and describe in detail right off the bat what they want to do to me sexually.

Some women do and some men do. People who genuinely enjoy rejecting someone are people who feel rejected themselves and insecure. It gives them a ego boost when they can reject someone it makes them feel they have the upper hand over someone.

Not all women. Women who are secure as well as just not bad people. Don’t like rejecting someone. But the people who enjoy it it shows a deep insecurity and I feel sorry for them.

It would be pretty callous for any woman to admit enjoying it and any man for that matter. Woman understand that there are many guys who have sex with women indiscriminately and are just not interesting in much else so of course they have to reject it , coupled with that many or the same guys come across sex obsessed which makes it about them and not the woman. That makes it an easy decision for the woman because it reduces sex to a shallow impersonal and cold act just about an orgasm for the guy , again an easy decision.

To flip it on its head , I’ve rejected all but one woman in my life. I pulled the plug on the relationships , of which there have been a fair few , and took no pleasure in any of it , in fact I’m certain I’ve lost a piece of me every time I’ve had to do it.

They have that power, but so do men. At least at one point in my life, I was in a situation where I turned someone down because another girl got my attention.

I think that more than the ability to reject someone, women want to be in control. They don't like us manipulating their feelings, steering them in a particular direction. They want to take that power into their own hands. And I don't blame them for doing so. As long as they are clear about their intentions and don't lead you on, men can take rejection. It's a choice we all have when we're dating.

I think it’s cultural

In some places rejecting someone is seen as a flex

In other places it’s seen as childish
As though you rejected that person because you couldn’t handle them

And in those places people look forward to attraction between themselves

I think that rejection in that context the girl has the power and the guy is the vulnerable, but doesn't means (but all ways the girl can respond back whatever she wants) being disrespectful or entitled to a guy, at least that guyn was bad with her is not justification, and rejection can be kind and gentle because that person is confessing his feelings, and don't say yes for pity, just be direct but respectful (this answer began as opinion and end up as advice and little scolding 🤣)

Women almost have zero power in society okay this is the only place in human interaction where they actually have some power and they're going to take advantage of it. In more recent years a lot of men have been putting women on this pedestal and putting sex above everything and women have become empowered because of that. They know if you want that cooter then you're going to do whatever they say. So yeah they enjoy doing it I'll guarantee it because that's the only time in their lives that they actually have control over something the only time they have power. We're not too far away from robotics sex dolls and once that becomes affordable for your average man to get women will go back to having absolutely no value in society just like in the past just as it should be.
