Do girls really place that big a deal on this? One time I put that i was an engineer and it didn't take much convincing to get a chick on a date. Kind of funny how they didn't drag things out texting for 2 weeks like beforehand. Im 5' 5" been on TONS of dates rarely ever made it to a third date. I dont care that im short, but I wonder if maybe I overlooked this detail all this time. Im pretty much the same height as all these women. Most women are 5'0" to 5'7" i always thought it was convenient to be the same height. Easier making eye contact and such.

It made a difference for that guy. I once picked a girl up for a date and as soon as she got out of the truck she's like you look shorter than 5'5" because i'm 5'5" That was pretty much how the date started. I almost drover her right back. Like I said, I don't care, but they sure seem to. If it matters to her, then don't waste my time, you know?

Well I mean you have to put something. Every dating app has a minimum amount of info you're required to provide

Maybe not height, but i like to be honest. Better she finds out then and not on the date and have it be a total waste of time

I don't think it's irrational to have height preferences for whatever reasons. Maybe she's considering dancing or wearing heels. But a 4 inch height difference should take care of that. And it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

But having irrational standards like a guy has to be 6'3" or above is stupid. Those guys are in the 98th percentile. Only 2% of guys fall into that group. Now women are chasing unicorns.

And guys do the same stupidity. They all want women with Hollywood starlet bodies, hair, and makeup. Like that's ever gonna happen.

The internet has created some unreasonable expectations for a lot of people.

@OneViewpoint That was the problem I had with the dating apps. I never had an issue landing a date even as an average looking guy, but man these girls sure had some unrealistic expectations. They didn't put in any effort. you're going to throw in the towel on me after only one or two dates?
