Well you have her social media, along with your cousin who’s a mutual. You could contact her if you really wanted to rather than wait til Halloween in hopes of even seeing her, but what if she doesn’t end up going? Or she only stops by with friends before going someplace else? Halloween is on a Friday this year so there’s a ton of parties and events, she may not stay at your cousins party for long, assuming she even goes at all. I don't know why you’d wanna take that risk.

In any case I think it’s better to at least try while your interaction is still relatively fresh. There really isn’t much difference between today or 2 weeks from now, she’s still going to be pretty fresh out of that relationship if that’s your concern of overwhelming her. I can’t say whether or not she was interested or just enjoying the conversation— nobody can. But if that encounter really meant something to you then I wouldn’t wanna risk missing my chance.

I don't know if you think she’s like heartbroken over the breakup or what, but for all you know she mentally/emotionally checked out of that relationship long before it officially ended (which a lot of people do), and is on a dating app now. I know my best friend who was married for 5 years with 2 kids wasted no time getting back out there once she was divorced. She’d already been sick of the relationship for like a year or two prior. Your fear of her having a new love interest (I doubt she’d have a whole boyfriend in 2 weeks) before you even have a shot. That would suck more than your fear of rejection.
